Industry Status
With the development of the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical wastewater has gradually become one of the major pollution sources. Pharmaceutical wastewater is currently a type of wastewater that is difficult to treat: it has complex components, high organic matter content, high toxicity, deep color, and high salt content—especially poor biodegradability. Moreover, it is discharged intermittently, so it cannot be directly treated by biological processes. Pharmaceutical wastewater mainly includes four categories: antibiotic production wastewater, synthetic drug production wastewater, traditional Chinese medicine production wastewater, and washing/rinsing wastewater from various preparation production processes.
Solution
A multi-effect evaporator is used to treat pharmaceutical wastewater. This greatly reduces costs, makes the process more in line with actual production needs, and enhances the reliability and feasibility of the pharmaceutical wastewater treatment process.
